Hi, I'm Ali Emery. I'm the Director of Teaching and Learning at Knoxville Community School District. Knoxville, Iowa is a rural community. We are about 45 minutes southeast first of Des Moines. We have a town population of about 8000 people, and we serve 1700 students. K-12. Our goal or focus with teacher evaluation is-our district leadership team is currently working to revamp our teacher evaluation processes. The ask has been that they would really like to see teacher evaluation be more growth oriented in relationship to our instructional framework as well as the Iowa Teaching standards. So that is the focus of the work, and I'm just excited to do learning and be able to take that back to help our district develop an approach that our teachers are excited about.

Hello. I am Danielle Ludwig. I am the principal at Amity Elementary School in Amity, Oregon, United States. This is my 30th year in education. I spent 18 years as a middle school teacher, and then this is my 12th year as an elementary school principal. My whole career has been here in the Amity School district. I found a gem, and I stayed. Amity is a very small town in Oregon wine country. It has about 1200 people, and we have one elementary school, one middle school, and one high school. So our administration staff is very small. One principal at each school and a superintendent, along with a special education director. I have about 325 kids in my building, 15 classroom teachers, and then other licensed staff. On top of that, DE title one math specialist, reading specialist. So I evaluate about 22 licensed staff altogether, along with about 25 classified staff. That's all me. Why am I taking this course in my 30th year of education? Because I feel like I can always get better, and I feel like I struggled with observations and evaluations, and my main focus would be really improving my feedback and making my conversations meaningful and useful for my teachers and myself. And I'm just having a path to go forward with them. All right, that's me.

Well, I'm Jenna Farrington and I'm an assistant principal in Lafayette. Indiana, high school is called Lafayette Christian and it is a private Christian K, or sorry. Pre-K to 8th grade school. I taught for 11 years before I became an assistant principal and I got my administrative degree about two years ago and my goal in this program is so I can support my principal more and maybe
She helped with teacher evaluations. And I also want to just continue to learn different ways that I can also support the teachers at the school. So I'm really looking forward to this course. Thanks.

Good morning. My name is Kaye McKinley, and I'm a principal at Liza Jackson Preparatory School in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. I've been in education for 46 years, beginning as a classroom teacher, then as a special education director, and then a deputy superintendent of a school district with 33,000 students. My school is a public charter school, K through eight, with about 1000 students. I'm very interested in this certification process as I would like to improve on our pre and post evaluation system at the school I'm at right now and help, hopefully lead the assistant principals down that same path as we improve our evaluation.
