My name is Geanna Trelease. I'm the supervisor of curriculum and instruction for special ed. I work with the Bound Brook School District in its entirety. So pre-k to twelve. We are a suburban area in Bound Brook, New Jersey. We service, or my department services, roughly 400 kids. Again, that's district-wide and something I am proud of is the community that I feel our school district has created, both in with the staff and also with the stakeholders outside at school.

Geanna Trelease

Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction for Special Education

Hi, my name is Joshua Cooper. I'm the Upper School Director for grades three through eight, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran School in San Antonio, Texas. We have about 300 students, we serve students from pre-k all the way through eighth grade. We also have a child care in our campus that serves students from ages of six weeks up to three years old. One of the things that I really like about our school is that we have a strong sense of community. Strong sense of family. Everybody helps each other out.

We also have had several former students come back and teach at our school. I'm one of them. Several of my students who graduated eighth grade went on to high school college and had families and then they brought their kids back to our school as well. And so, it's nice to see that come full circle and that's something we work really hard, is to build that culture of family and community.

Joshua Cooper

Upper School Director, Grades 3-8

Hello, my name is Joe Santicerma and I am principal of the Community Middle School in Bound Brook, New Jersey. We are a suburban school district with approximately 300 students in grades seven and eight. What I'm most proud of our school is we are nestled right in the middle of Somerset County. And over the past 20 to 30 years, the county has seen large scale growth which has translated into larger and larger school districts. Bound Brook has maintained its small town feel and small town size, which means those of that our teachers and administrators and school personnel, we get to know every student, we get to know their families where that sometimes may be lost in large sized school districts. And it's something we are very proud of here in Bound Brook.

Joe Santicerma

Principal

Good afternoon, everyone. Smalley school, Bound Brook. Nick Edwards here, principal, just coming in. We are a nice suburb in New Jersey. We have about 540 plus students. We're grades three to six. And something that's great about our school is that our teachers care so much for our children. And we'd like to do a lot of fun things. So looking forward to meeting everyone.

Nicholas Edwards

Principal

Hello, my name is Dr. Pat Goolsby and I'm the principal here at the Combs Center for Success. We are an alternative school in the Combs Unified School District in the beautiful San Tan, Valley of Arizona. We serve first grade through 12th grade. We've only been in existence for about a year and three quarters. We have about 225 students. And we work very closely with all of our elementary middle and high schools in the district to work with our students. Something that I'm really proud of about my school has to be my extraordinary staff who really understand what it means to personalize learning and work with kids. We have flexible schedules. We do both online and face-to-face classrooms, and we believe that we are building a school that our students need.

Dr. Pat Goolsby

Principal

My name is Seonaid Davis and I am the vice principal of teaching and learning at Havergal College. We are in Toronto, Ontario Canada. We are in urban setting, we have over 1,000 students from Junior kindergarten to grade 12. And something that makes our school unique is that we have been proudly a girls school for more than 130 years.

Seonaid Davis

K-5 Principal

Hello, my name is Rob Hankins. I am the high school principal at Hardin High School. And that is in Hardin Montana, which is a rural School District about 530 kids. The entire town has about 3,800 people in it. We are a 9 through 12 school and I guess what I'm most proud of in our school. This is my 9th year at Harden, and actually, I guess I probably should back up a little bit and let you know that Harden is right on the edge of the Crow Indian reservation. And so we have about a 75% Native American population. What I guess I'm most proud of is just the atmosphere atmosphere of mutual respect that we have created here in a hardened and the instructional framework that we have worked for the for the past four or five years to get implemented in and now, as we're seeing the benefits of having that and so that is me. Thank you.

Rob Hankins

High-School Principal

Hi, I'm Dana Goodier and the district context because I'm doing more consulting at the district level is a Suburban District in the Denver area, about 65,000 students. This District I think was consolidated back in the late 50s. There's nine high schools, nine middle schools. Most of the high schools and middle schools are right next to each other and I think probably 40 elementary schools, I'm not quite sure the number of elementary because I focus most on the secondary level. There's also about 18 Charter Schools. A lot of the charter schools were opened in the mid-to-late 2010's. And yeah, so when I started working in the district, we were working with guaranteed and viable curriculum, that was in the late 2000s, but now we're trying to look at new models for curriculum and the past and the in exploring new things.

Dana Goodier

Educational Consultant

Hi, my name is Keith Fickle and you see behind me Almeida Crawford high school and it is scheduled to open in August of 2023. And I am the principal of the school and I'll be spending the next year getting it ready. So we're in Fort Bend ISD, which is southwest of Houston. Specifically this high school is in the town of Rosharon, which is a fast-growing community within Fort Bend ISD, it is therefore a suburban school. The number of students hasn't been determined yet because the zoning or planning for it is not been completed yet, but it will open with 9th and 10th graders. When the school opens in August to 2023, it will be relieving, neighboring, High School, Ridge Point High School, which is in a high growth area as well. So, something really special that I'm really proud of is the fact that our district has engaged the community heavily around the opening of this school, particularly
Early getting student voice and even Community. Stakeholder voice. When it comes to the mascot, which is the Chargers. And also, for the colors that the school will have, which are teal and Cool Gray. We've had a lot of branding conversations with our Communications Department, that is evolved a great number of teachers, parents community members, and other different stakeholders for the school. So I'm really proud of that fact, we've already engaged future students.
In the community around those two aspects of the school. But what makes this school unique at least among the schools in within our district is that it is set up in learning communities. So there are what you see behind me are four different pods so to speak. They're learning communities to story, I guess an upstairs and a downstairs that has an open seating area in the Middle with a stairway in the center, which can be used for a variety of different things. Different ways to teach and reach out to students. The building is quite large fact, it's the largest school in our district. It's over 500,000 square feet. So I'm really looking forward to seeing how we can creatively, use the learning communities. The way the building is set up, which is very, very much not traditional. We can make this school be the best. It can be for our students in the community, thank you.

Keith Fickle

Principal

Hi, my name is Amy Taylor. I'm principal at West Elementary here in Knoxville. Iowa. Also known as the Sprint car capital of the world. We are a rural setting serving just under 500 students preschool through second grade. And something that makes our school unique is that we do serve only our primary grades and have a sister School across town that serves our 3rd through 5th grade students.

Amy Taylor

PK-2 Principal

Hi, my name is Robyn Griffin, and I'm the supervisor of elementary. I work in Bound Brook elementary schools, Lamont Annex, Lafayette and Smalley, and that is in Bound Brook, New Jersey. In the US. We have an urban suburbs setting, and there are about 900 elementary students in grades K to six. And we have the three different elementary schools and then one school. That's preschool. And I am proud of our hardworking teachers who are constantly trying new things, new ideas, finding best ways to support students. I'm proud of our hardworking students who have overcome obstacles such as socioeconomic and stability and being English Language learners.

Robyn Griffin

Elementary Supervisor

My name is Mike Zboray. I am the principal of the Pemetic Elementary School in Southwest Harbor, Maine. We are located in the state of Maine in the United States and our little town is on Mount desert island, which is the home of Acadia National Park. It is a small, I guess a rural school, but during the summer we have millions of visitors that come to the national park and visit Bar Harbor. Our little town, Southwest Harbor or North East Harbor filled with hikers and boaters. I have about 135 students pre-k through 8 and they go to a consolidated High School Mount Desert Island High School. What makes me proud? Well, it's a tight-knit community people willing to help teachers, who are committed to their students and also the educational partners that we have. Though we are a rural school on an island in Maine, we have two world-class science labs, the
Mount Desert Island biological lab and the Jackson lab that does genetic research. We also have a small College on the island, College of the Atlantic that provides a degree in human ecology. So a very interesting place to live and work and educate students. I'm looking forward to the program and meeting all of you.

Mike Zboray

K-8 Principal

Hi, welcome to James Monroe, High School. My name is Ximena Rodriguez, and I'm one of the assistant principals. We are a comprehensive Urban High School located, just north of Los Angeles. We serve over 1900 students in grades nine through twelve. One of the things I'm most proud of about our school is the way we engage with students from all cultures in particularly our newcomer English Learners. We support them from the beginning, to the end, encouraging them to seek higher education.

Ximena Rodriguez

Assistant Principal

Hi everyone. I'm Karin Denholm. I'm the principal at Cornish Elementary School. We are a very small school in the state of New Hampshire, in a very rural setting. We have about 125 students, in grades pre-k through 8. And something that I'm really proud of about our building is that we have a really strong tight-knit community. Today is actually a snow day. So I am working from home so I could not do this outside of my school, but I thought I would just share a quick photo. This is our building on a on another snow day so that you can all see where we come from.

Karin Denholm

Principal

I am at Lakewood Elementary School. We have about eight hundred and thirty students. We range from pre-k all the way up to fourth grade. It's a wonderful school. I work at Tomball ISD, which is in our area considered to be a small district, but we are a fast growth district. So we are experiencing, a lot of changes, a lot of demographic changes, as I'm sure all of you are experiencing too. We are just a quiet little school and doing great things.

Kathy Standefer

Assistant Principal

Hi everyone. My name is Donna Spangler. I'm an instructional, coach at Hershey Middle School. We're a suburban school district in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This building the middle school has about 900 students. And we have about 3,600 students across the district grade 6 to 12 I'm responsible for, as an instructional coach. And one of the things that I am really proud of is our teachers. Throughout this pandemic. We have done every possible version of pandemic teaching you can imagine from face-to-face to fully virtual, to the hybrid, to the synchronized.

Donna Spangler

Instructional Coaching Department Chair

Hi. Like I said, my name is Nadia Luenig. I am the principal at Smalle Elementary School. We are in Bound Brook, New Jersey, which is in Somerset County. It's a very small town, about 1 sq mi. I would say that we're kind of between the urban and a suburban school. Definitely heavily more towards suburban, but there are some urban elements as well. We have 560 students in our school and we're growing every single day. Our grade levels are three through six, third grade through 6th grade. And something that I'm proud of. I am incredibly proud of the hard work that not only our students do every single day, but our teachers do every single day. And our teachers truly care about their students. They are willing to go above and beyond every single day for them. And it's very evident if you walk into their classrooms.

Nadia Luenig

Assistant Principal

Hello. My name is Beth Fischer. I'm the assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction for the Bound Brook School District. I'm recording this from inside of my office because I actually oversee all six buildings in the school district. We are pre-k to twelve district in Somerset County, New Jersey. We are an urban district. Urban, suburban. We have the town of Bound Brook, but we are growing and our population lens itself more towards an urban population. We are a walking district of about 2000 students total.

Beth Fischer

Assistant Superintendent

I'm Kari Schneider curriculum director here at Killdeer Public Schools. We are a pre-k through 12 School District. Very rural in Southwestern North Dakota. We're in the heart of Dunn, County, right in the middle of the, I guess we're on the southern end of the Bakken oil patch if anyone's familiar with that. So the oil booms and busts affect our school district greatly, which I guess is something unique about us. And I am in my second year in this position. I think that one of the best things about our school is that it's a small town, but it's not as small as a lot of rural school districts in North Dakota. And we are actually growing steadily and have had a change in leadership recently, and we're just really on the precipice of pushing through into some amazing breakthrough experiences if I can describe it that way. So we are a small rural District that is growing. We have a new building, a new high school building that will be opening this fall. So there are a lot of exciting things in the works. And so that's a little bit about me and a little bit about Killdeer.

Kari Schneider

Curriculum Director

Kari Franchini, Principal at Creekside Middle School here in Fairfield, Ohio. That's like half an hour outside of Cincinnati. It's fall. I don't know if you guys can see the trees. So, it's a little chilly here this morning, but we serve 1200 6th, 7th and 8th grade. Students. There's one other Middle School in our district that has a similar student population. And we are in Suburban as I mentioned.
And something we're really proud of is our music programs here in Fairfield. We have a show choir, that's nationally renowned and then our band, our marching band and just our music program in Fine Arts in general are awesome.

Kari Franchini

Principal

Hi there, it's Tosha-Lyn Francis here again, and again, proud, principal of Queens, United Middle School located in Laurelton, Queens, New York. Again a New York City Public School. This is an urban school. Although we are very, very close to Long Island, which is more Suburban. We have 183 students. We serve grades six through eight, and one thing that I am very, very proud of with my school is just how the faculty, the staff and the parents pull together as best as they could along with our students, in order to keep teaching and learning consistent, and with excellence during this pandemic. I am truly proud and grateful for my school's culture and every stakeholder in my school community.

Tosha-Lyn Francis

Principal

Principal Carlos Baggage, Barbour County, Intermediate School, Lewisville, Alabama, rural setting with approximately 300 students, grade levels 2 through 6, and I am proud that we have been able to build a high culture of positivity through our PBIS initiatives this year. Thank you.

Carlos Baggage

Principal

Good afternoon. My name is Teresa Petracca. I am the Bilingual ESL, world language director for the Bound Brook Public School District. Bound Brook is a quaint suburban town located in Somerset County. It's approximately 10,000 inhabitants. Our school serves about 2000 students, a little bit less than a quarter of whom are elves or English language learners. I serve the entire district, K through twelve. Our district is comprised of five schools. We have a pre K program, a kindergarten program. We have a one two building. We have a three to six building, a seven eight middle school building and then a nine to twelve high school building. I am most proud to see our first time students coming to school and being very excited, the parents and students to come to the Bound Brook School District where they'll receive a superb education and they're very excited to start learning English.

Teresa Petracca

Director of Bilingual ESL World Languages

Hello, it's Rhonda Dennis again. I'm the principal at Antelope Elementary. My school is located in Little Rock, California. We are in a rural area. The high desert gets very, very hot, very, very cold, where we are.
My school has 252 students currently on campus. We are a preschool through Eighth Grade Campus, and something that we are proud of is that we are a VAPA school. So Visual and Performing Arts and we are working towards building up the the community in that art aspect.

Rhonda Dennis

Principal

Hey, this is Angie Rasmussen, Noah Webster Academy school director, and our school is located in Orem, Utah. Orem used to be very very rural. Now it's we're urban, which is really sad but we are a K6 Elementary School. We have a little over 500 in our enrollment and the thing that is great about our school is we are a leader-in-me school so we help the kids learn about being leaders of themselves and I feel like that is huge because when they learn about being proactive and thinking, when with it really helps them in all aspects of their life,

Angie Rasmussen

School Director

Hello. My name is Shaun Cleary, assistant principal of Bound Brook High School in Bound Brook, New Jersey. We are a suburban school district serving students in grades nine to twelve, of which there are over 700 students and we are rapidly growing. Something that I'm proud of is that our school is large enough that we have a great diversity, but small enough that we still have more of a family atmosphere rather than one of a large institution.

Shaun Cleary

Assistant Principal

My name is Lee Barrios and I'm the principal of Fox Lake Elementary. We are located in Fox Lake, Alberta in Canada. The community is in a very remote location with limited access in the winter. We have a nice bridge in the summer. We have a barge and there are flights. Year-round FLE has four hundred sixty students. Ranging from age two to grade six. I'm extremely proud that in spite of all our challenges, we have managed to raise our reading levels. We've had some setbacks these past few years with COVID, but the strategies and blueprint is in place to continue our growth.

Lee Barrios

Principal

My name is Andrea Puhl and I'm the principal of St. Aloysius, Catholic School in Bowling Green, Ohio. We have about 200 students in preschool, through grade 8. I am proud of our school because of its small class sizes which give our students, a really strong academic Foundation. Of course, we are a faith based school, so that is a very important part of who we are as well Bowling, Green, where we are located, as a small college town, in northwest, Ohio, just a little bit, south of Toledo.
And because of that, we have a pretty diverse student population for our area and our size. The university brings in a lot of diversity, and we're proud that many of those University families choose us for their students education. I look forward to working with all of you and learning with all of you.

Andrea Puhl

Principal

I'm Mary Baker, New Vision, Charter School in Loveland, Colorado. We are about an hour north of Denver. We are, I wouldn't call us quite urban, wouldn't call us quite Suburban, definitely not rural. We are at Town of, I would say 75,000. We are a K3 campus. We are a K-8 school. This is the K3 campus. We have 444 students. So we have five rounds in kindergarten and four rounds in first second. And third grade. One of the things that I'm most proud of our school is the culture. We have a very positive energetic culture, teachers are willing to try new things. They're willing to think outside the box and it's just a really, really positive positive culture. We've spent a lot of time working with just using some of the principles from John Gordon and John Maxwell to really make sure we have that positive safe culture, but we are now in the phase of moving to, you know, how do we take that culture and what we've built and also be able to have to give feedback.
Feedback has always been a really big struggle as to how we do it effectively and how we do it in a way that helps teachers grow, and it doesn't feel demeaning.
Prior to coming here. I was trained in the method of relay and to be real honest, it felt very yucky and felt very demeaning and just not growing. It was, you know, it just didn't feel good. And I didn't like to do observations or walkthroughs or feedback because I did not believe in the method. And so it's taken a couple of years to figure out what works best, and it's not working. What I'm doing now is not working best and not getting that the feedback in the culture and and helping teachers grow, but also doing it in a positive way. So that's a little bit about my school. I love it here. We have great parents, great kids, great families and teachers are fantastic, and it's just a great place to learn and grow.

Mary Baker

Principal

Thank you. I'm Ricardo Vieira, dean of students in primary school. We have now seven schools in the country. I'm part of the school in Shenzhen, the bilingual school in Shenzhen founding team. We open our school 50 students only from grade one to grade five. The next year we move 1600 students. So it's very big. It's a huge school. We are growing very fast. We work with international students and Chinese citizens as well. So Chinese citizens, to apply for our school, they need international passport because of international curriculum. So we are proud.

Ricardo Vieira

Dean of Students

Hey, I'm Bobby Riley. I am in Burlington Vermont and I run the two alternative programs. I'm the principal at the two alternative programs for high school here in Burlington. We are a suburban area Burlington's the small city of about 60,000 people about 4,200 students in our school district. Each of my programs has about 35 students. So I'm serving about 70 students total. And I'd say the thing that I'm most proud of, there's several, one our focus really on social emotional learning and well-being of the students developing relationships and really diving into restorative practices to support our students.

You know, we serve many marginalized students who have been or who have had poor experiences and the educational system and I would say the system often failed them. They were defined by their behavior and not really, by their needs so often and so paired with that, too. And thing that I'm proud about is that we really also focus on the mental health and create a trauma-informed environment for our students. So that we can really develop a place where they have agency, and they can develop a sense of pride of going back to school and a deeper connection to it. And then, we're also exploring a lot of alternative Pathways to earn credit and to develop a system towards graduation. So, a lot of project-based learning trying to implement things that also incorporate place-based learning and community.

Partnerships where internships can occur and things of that nature. And I'm On Top currently today, which is beautiful. There's a beautiful view of the lake here behind me, right back here. And so we're on a beautiful campus to and so that helps it creates a very nurturing therapeutic environment for the students. So that's it.

Bobby Riley

Principal

Hi, my name is Carolyn Jackson. I'm the assistant principal at the high school located in Grand Prairie, Texas. We are a suburban school district with an enrollment of 1560 students in grades nine through twelve. Something that I'm most proud of about our campus that I think this really unique one is that for the second year, we have been recognized as the national showcased, a capturing kids heart school, and secondly, our three Career Academy
School have been recognized as model schools with distinction.

Carolyn Jackson

Assistant Principal

Hi everyone, this is Casey Lanning again, acting assistant principal here at Greywolf. Greywolf is a K5 school, kindergarten through fifth grade. It is here in Sequim, Washington, Sequim Washington is a rural community. Some people may say it's a Suburban, rural community, but being on the peninsula, we are about two and a half hours, West of the Seattle area.  And we have just over 500 kids that are enrolled for next year and we had about the same this previous school year. We are a Kids at Hope school and what that means, if you're not familiar with Kids at Hope, is that Kids at Hope is a program that really looks into the science of hope. And the science of hope is really spelled out in our school motto and in the end of the Kids at Hope pledge. The end of the Kids at Hope pledge says, "all kids are capable of success. No exceptions." It's a full stop. And our school motto is "every moment, every child, every day."

So when you come to Greywolf, you would see in every classroom students, whose teachers are meeting them where they're at, students, whose teachers are meeting them by providing alternative assessment practices when needed or opportunities for taking assessment or getting instructional, assistants and support someplace else, or even in the classroom team teaching, collaborative planning, all of these things make Greywolf a really unique place, particularly.

For reading instruction, math instruction as well, but reading instruction is where we have traditionally tried to put our time as an elementary school and put our resources because we believe that the better a student can read and write and communicate, the better that they're going to do later on when they move from learning to read to reading to learn and learning to write to writing to learn.

So with that, I'll go ahead and end and thank you and I look forward to hearing from you as well.

Casey Lanning

Acting Assistant Principal

Hey, everyone. I didn't make it outside, because the Wi-Fi connectivity outside my building is terrible. I am Nicole Shaffer. I'm the principal at Cook. Elementary School in Fort Smith, Arkansas. We are an urban school district of about 15,000 students. Currently at Cook we have 500 students in grades Pre-K to fifth grade, and I am proud of this school for several reasons. I was the assistant principal here and I am back as the building principal here, but I am proud of the fact that everyone here feels like it's a community and takes care of everyone, no matter what.

Nicole Shaffer

Principal

Hi again, everyone. I'm Shereca Rose-Foster. I am the student services coordinator here at Hill Academy in Jamaica. We are an independent school that goes from K to 13. My role is in the middle high school section, where I serve students in grades seven through 13, we have about three hundred and seventy students in our section.

Something that I'm very proud of our school is how intentional we have been over the past couple of years to support students social emotional learning. We are one of the only schools in the country that has been intentional about doing this, and you see the results in our students. We've also been very intentional about, you know, employing trauma-informed and restorative practices and how we we support our students. And so I'm very proud of that.

Shereca Rose-Foster

Student Services Coordinator

My name is Anthony Egan. I'm the Assistant Principal of the Community Middle School in Bound Brook, New Jersey. The community middle school services both 7th and 8th grade. We have approximately 300 students and we suburban district. One thing that makes me proud to be a member of the faculty here, is the close, tight knit family atmosphere we've created for both our staff and students.

Anthony Egan

Assistant Principal

Hello, everyone me again, Aimmie Kellar. We are a private International School located just outside of Seoul in lovely South Korea. And if you've ever been to Seoul it's a massive City, 25 million plus and we are in the greater Metro Seoul Area, but a little bit on the outskirts of the urban downtown as an international school though. What is interesting? So I would classify this as a suburban school, but the catchment area of our school being in a private International School. Students come from all over the city. So they're coming, here on campus but we have four different buildings, housing, two of our schools. So we have elementary school, middle school, and high school. And I, in my role I am the high school principal.  our school itself has just over 1,200 students in high school. As of last week. We really proud of our school is our community. So this time of year, we're doing lots of job interviews and recruiting faculty members and that's something that perspective —— always ask about our school at the most of what people would say, they like the most it's definitely the community. That's something that I'm really proud for school. I think in terms of our students and our families, they're really invested in their success. And the success of the school, they want to do well and they need to achieve their very driven, but they want to contribute to our school. As KIS students they want to represent us not only to other say because they can do are amazing. In terms of our faculty, I'm also really proud of the community that they helped create at our school. Professionally. We have lots of really good conversations. We don't always agree and especially when we don't, I always leave those conversations feeling like people, people bring up those ideas. People challenge each other because they want to make our community better. And at the end of the day, we're all you know, all still collegial and all still friends, but really invested in making KIS a great place.

Aimmie Kellar

Principal

My name is Lorrie Jarrett. I'm the head of school, at Jefferson County, Christian School. We're located in Wintersville Ohio, which is a rural area in Jefferson County. Our school population is 224 students in grades preschool to 12th grade. What makes our school unique is the service attitude that our students have our older students love to serve the school through recycling in the cafeteria, and they like to also work with our younger students in the Elementary grades, helping the teacher and helping other students.

Lorrie Jarrett

Head of School

My name is Shauna Hammon. I am the principal of El Capitan Public School in Colorado City, Arizona. We are in a rural school district. We have a  1A school. We serve about 230 students, grades six through twelve. We've brought on an administrator this coming year to work with our junior high. So my focus will be on the high school, grades nine through twelve. Something I'm really excited about our school is due to the fact that we are such a small community, we are able to work with students and meet them where they're at and create plans to help them be successful.

Shauna Hammon

Principal

Hi there. It's Eloisa again. My school is Daisy Gibson Elementary School. We are located in Palmdale, California. We do serve the students in Littlerock, California. This is a rural area. We have about 650 students. We serve, as TK through 8th grade, our schools. The only one with TK in the district and our school is the only school that is STEAM focused.

Eloisa Acevedo

Principal

I'm Bonnie Demmons. I'm the principal at Harry Miller Middle School in Ross. A New Brunswick Canada. It is a suburban school just outside of the city of Saint John, New Brunswick. We have a student population of approximately 375 ranging from grades 6 to 8, which are ages approximately 11 to 13.
Something that I am proud of would be the 3 R's of Harry Miller Middle School, which is respect, responsibility, and right choices. This is a language that we as a whole school staff speak with our students. We don't have a list of rules. But these are the common threads in our daily lives and in our daily life here at Harry Miller, and it is something that we're very, very proud of as a School staff.

Bonita Hayward-Demmons

Principal

Hi everybody. So I work at Amesbury Middle School, which is a five through eight middle school, in Amesbury, Massachusetts. And Amesbury is a very blue-collar border City to New Hampshire right on the border between Massachusetts and New Hampshire. We're right near Newbury port Legacy of the the whole Commerce, through the sea. And so we're sort of like a Suburban District because we're smaller on the smaller end like a Suburban District. We have a lot of the issues that are related to more of an urban District. As we're just a small city of about 17,000 people. And what I'm proud of of this school is last year. There was no principal in this building. There was an interim and that principle left. And then my assistant principal currently had to take over as the principal and the school was able to come together with the community with parents and really able to run the school and create a really safe environment for students throughout covid.

And it, I'm very proud of that that the teachers, and the staff and my assistant principal work together to create that environment in which I came in. And I had a lot to work with and I'm proud to call this school. My home. Now after being another district for most of my career, but Amesbury has a lot to offer, great Community. A lot of support from the citizens of the city, a lot of history in our community. People who have third fourth, fifth generation members in our community, and we want to bring all of those different resources together to help our school.

Hello. My name is Kyle Hutchinson. I am an assistant principal at Shorewood elementary in Burien, Washington, outside of Seattle. It's an urban school. We have about 410 kids, and we serve students from kindergarten through great. One of the things I'm most proud of is the sheer diversity of our student population. We have classrooms that are known as integrated learning centers, where we have students with fairly severe disabilities who are learning more functional life skills. We have general education students. We also have highly capable classrooms for students who are performing at a fairly advanced level academically. We have incredible diversity with income ranges and native language, which is spoken at our school. So I would definitely say that diversity is one of our greatest strengths here at Shorewood.

Hello, my name is Shenita Perry and I am the assistant principal at Baldwin arts and academics magnet school. We are located in downtown Montgomery, Alabama, and we host great level six through eight. The thing I am most proud of about Baldwin is that we are have a diverse population. We have very talented students and we have very high academic performing students. This is my school. This is the gym. That's the side of the school building, the front of the school building faces McDonald Street. So we have a great school has a lot of history is a very old building. I think it was built like in 1910, but this is Baldwin. Welcome to Baldwin.

6-8 Assistant Principal

So my name is Tanya Newell. I am the current principal at Mountain View Montessori Charter School. We are located in the high desert area in Victorville, California, which is halfway between La and Las Vegas on the 15 Freeway. We are in more of a rural suburban setting, which is a growing area, again, just east of La, about an hour and a half east of La. We currently have 240 students. We serve transitional kindergarten, which will be universal pre K starting next year all the way through 6th grade. And let's see something that I'm proud of about our school. Oh, there's so many things. We are one of the two charters within Victor Elementary School District, and we are also one of the two top performing schools every year. And we've actually been chartered since the year 2000. And so we've been going very strong for a very long time. And over half of our staff members have been at our school for ten years or more. And we only have a staff of 25. So I think that speaks a lot to our wonderful environment, the dedication of the people within our environment. And we also have a very low turnover because our families love our school. And so we don't have a lot that enter and then leave unless they move out of the area or there's extenuating circumstances. So a couple of fun things about our school that I am proud of.

Hello, I'm Stacey Green. The proud principal of Stockton Grade School in Stockton, Kansas. We serve a rural community. We have 225 students in our building, serving age ranges of preschool, three and four year olds all the way through seventh grade. I am standing inside our building because we are once again experiencing strong winds, which often happens in this area. So I did stop to come back inside, I hope you don't mind. Behind me
is our banner that shows our programming as a Mercury 7 School here in Kansas, the Kansas redesign system. And that is a something I'm most proud of is our district and also as a building, we were one of the first seven school districts in Kansas to redesign and completely rethink education, in a view of what's best for students not what's easiest for our staff.

We have around 400 students and we cater for students from kindergarten through to year 6. So around ages 4 to 12. Something that I'm really proud of about my school is that we have really strong community connections, and a really good environmental awareness program with sustainability.

This is exciting. I am actually working from home right now. I'm principal of Milltown. Elementary School in St. Stephen. New Brunswick Canada, were very small school in the southwest corner of the province. We have a hundred, seventy-five students kindergarten to grade 5, and we're in a small town but 4,000 people in our small town here, in New Brunswick and we are one of two elementary schools, we're definitely the smaller of the two, and we have a a mix of socio-economic groups coming to our school, but mainly a lot of families that live in poverty and so I am working from home right now.

This is not my office. This is my couch and our support staff are on strike. So our custodians, EA's, and other support staff. Administrative assistants are on strike, and the minister of Education in our province has sent
Us all to work from home, so, we're doing remote learning similar to what happened during lockdown in covid, but a little bit different again. Anyway, I'm very excited to see what's going on in the certification and to catch up with you all. Thanks.

Heather Bell-Williams

K-5 Principal

Again, my name is Chris George. I'm the principal at Westside. High School in Jonesboro, Arkansas. We are located about an hour from Memphis Tennessee. Two hours from Little Rock Arkansas. We're in the northeast corner of the state. We are a rural school. We are Consolidated Consolidated School District. We have three communities, two very, very small farming areas, and then a little bit bigger town. But again, we are Consolidated since 1968. When our high school was built in 1985, our elementary students. And that just happened to be my first year on this campus. So I was a kindergartner. I've been born and raised here. My mom was a teacher here. But anyway, so in 1985, we brought all of our students to one central location, and we've been that way ever since.

The high school that I serve. We currently have around 685 students grades, 8 through 12. We have a middle school that serves grades 5 through 7, and then our elementary is pre-k through fourth. Right over 1,700 students district-wide. So we are not a terribly large school. But for this area, we are just right. Again as I mentioned. I went here my entire life, went to college right down the road, and then I was hired on here and we have several of our faculty who are just like that. We are lifers here, you know, we love to have those teachers who come from outside of our area to bring new ideas and such. But it's a great thing to have the ones that have the vested interest of of this school because it's all they know. So again, I appreciate all the work that is going to be done through this program.

Principal

Hello, my name is Erika Clarke, I'm the principal of Lafayette school. We're located in Bound Brook, New Jersey. Considered a suburban area. We have approximately 250 students there in first and second grade. And something that I'm proud of with our school is that we started a pet therapy program. So once a week, we have a therapy dog come in to work with children that are either struggling with reading or need some emotional help or both. And the students and the staff enjoy it. And it's something that I'm very proud of.

Erika Clarke

Principal

Hi. My name is Jeff Salmeri. I am the ELA supervisor at Bound Brook School District, located in Bound Brook, New Jersey. I don't have my own school, I have my own office. So I figured I would just show my office, which is a little corner of the supervisor as a room. Yeah, I don't have my own school, but our district is located, like I said, in Bound Brook, New Jersey. It's a pretty unique school district because it's small, it's only one and a half square miles. We don't have any buses for our district. But what I really like about Bound Brook is it's not truly urban or suburban. We do deal with a high Hispanic population and we have been labeled an urban school. But the actual geography of our school district is it's a small village near the river and river right, New Jersey. It's the first settlement in Somerset County. And one thing I really like about our school district is you have that village field, but also Bound Brook is the first place that the American flag, the original 13 stars, the Bessie Ross flag was flown anywhere. It was first lifted up by George Washington during the battle of Bound Brook in the 1700. So I thought that was a pretty unique thing about our town. One other thing is we have a large Guatemalan population. We have a lot of Central American students to the point where I think it was 2006, the president of Guatemala came to Bound Brook to make a visit. So that's pretty interesting and we love to celebrate the culture of our community. So I'm at Bound Brook again. I think I left off one fact. We have about 2000 students in our school district, but we love our school district, we love our students and can't wait to learn more about walkthroughs to support our teachers.

Jeff Salmeri

ELA Supervisor

Hi, it's Paige So my school is Allegheny Limestone Central School District. We are a combined School District. The merger happened about 25 years ago for two very distinct communities. In the Western New York area. Our school district has approximately eleven hundred and fifty students Pre-K to.
In grade 12.  I did not go outside to record this because it's February in Western New York. So it's very cold and snowy. What is unique about? Our school is I would say the dedication and commitment of our staff where a district where individuals would get a teaching job here and stay for their entire career.
At this point, I believe we have 16 teachers that are eligible for full retirement, which as everyone knows in our current circumstances of filling slots that would be a lot of teachers to replace. So this is a place where people came to work and they just love to stay.

Director of Instruction

Hi, my name is Traci Kosmach and I'm the principal at River View Elementary in Stow-Monroe, Falls city schools. And that's in Ohio. We're a Suburban District. My school has about 320 students. We also house the emotional behavioral support program for the district. There are six elementaries all together. And so we get the kids who need some extra support. I'm super proud of the community that we have here. We are kind, caring, always learning and we keep kids at the center of what we're doing.
