As a supervisor, I have systems in place which will enable me to complete walkthroughs, confidently.

Jeff Salmeri

ELA Supervisor

For me, I am going to focus on the tasks and the mental bandwidth. In terms of the tasks. I am really excited to hear about some of these things, and the tools as well. Particularly the idea about the email being a communication tool, not a tool that manages your tasks. I definitely am guilty of that. I'll read things, and then I will mark them as unread so that they stay in my inbox. So that to me serves as a reminder, that something that I have to go back to and do. But, you know, that very quickly starts to defeat itself because you have multiple things that I've read and I ignore, and I just let them sit there for a long, long time. In terms of the tasks, being able to prioritize and free myself up from certain tasks and be able to do that efficiently so that I can get into those classrooms on a consistent and frequent basis and the mental bandwidth as well. I think thinking about making sure that for those 10 to 15 minutes a day that I'm clear and I'm focused just on that in the previous mini module. That idea that, you know, when you leave the office, the things that you've left will you can come back to those but be really focused and be really present in those 10 to 15 minutes.

Aimmie Kellar

Principal

Finding time and getting organized to go into the rooms is what I need the most help with.

Katy Rohr

Director of Early Childhood

I need to focus on the systems for tasks and paperwork. I agree that I get too much paper floating about me and I need to have a better filing system as this would then allow me to better organize task requirements.

Bonita Hayward-Demmons

Principal

For me, I have a difficulty with consistency, which directly ties into habits! My days are never routine or predictable, so being consistent with systems and forming habits has always been difficult. I need to add reminders to my daily to-do list to help me build those habits, including getting into classrooms. The next area I would need to focus on is managing my tasks and prioritizing those tasks. I’ve rotated between paper and electronic systems, but still haven’t found one system that totally works for me - probably because I’m not using one type of organization tool consistently. I need to try something long enough and with fidelity to build a positive habit.

Tanya Newell

Principal

I need to develop a sound schedule that is both rigid and flexible as I need to visit multiple buildings to see the teachers I oversee.

Geanna Trelease

Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction for Special Education

There are two systems in which i need to work on in order to be successful in this program, the mental bandwidth along with the scheduling aspect. I feel like both of this systems I could improve upon to be a better administrator.

Anthony Egan

Assistant Principal

Mental Bandwidth is a big struggle. I am a not only an educational leader, but I'm a devoted soccer mom, wife, sister, daughter, granddaughter, etc.

Nadia Luenig

Assistant Principal

Scheduling around various other meetings and responsibilities is my focus.

Jill Talewsky

Supervisor of Mathematics

My challenge is mental bandwidth.

Angie Rasmussen

School Director

I need help with my emails. They are never ending….

Estelle Benson

Principal

I need systems to help me with mental bandwidth and scheduling/rotation. I believe if I can address my mental bandwidth, then I can address the other issues with excellence.

Tosha-Lyn Francis

Principal

Scheduling time.

Shauna Hammon

Principal

I think I need to work on mental bandwidth. I was excellent at creating a plan in the past but I feel that in this last year I ended up not even creating a plan for the coming day/week/month because I had so many issues that I had to take care of. Part of the issue has been COVID and the related logistical issues that it continually caused me and the other was my support system had changed. Looking back through my daily notes it is obvious how hectic my day felt to me by my handwriting.

Lee Barrios

Principal

I need to work on scheduling and rotation and emails. I'm working on clearing my email every day. It's a work in progress. Starting tomorrow I will start getting into 3 classrooms everyday. No excuses!

Deanna Albert

Assistant Principal

Handling unexpected tasks would be the most urgent system that I need to put in place to get into the classroom twice a day.

Khalid Oluewu

Principal/Lead Learner

One area of focus for me is being able to keep up with the 3 classroom visits per day schedule when there are a multitude of tasks and responsibilities that either re-occur or arise daily.

Joe Santicerma

Principal

My biggest area of growth and adjustment is working on my mental bandwith. With the impact of the day, I sometimes feel that my brain is cluttered. A partical cause of that could be my systems for paperwork and emails, that clutter my thought process.

Mary Baker

Principal

I need to focus on scheduling them and not getting bogged down with paper

Marc DeMarco

Director of Special Services

While I could definitely become better in all of these areas, I think I'm going to focus on the first one with mental bandwidth to start. I often come to work with a plan (but not one for the week), and then the "tryanney of the moment" takes over with people asking me, "Do you have a minute?" which...never ends up being a minute anyway, and then I'm derailed. I need to start effectively planning for the week and not just surviving the day.

Donna Spangler

Instructional Coaching Department Chair

The two areas that I need to work on the most are Mental Bandwidth and Paperwork/Clutter.

Ximena Rodriguez

Assistant Principal

Mental bandwidth for me. The business of the job can cause me stress and while stressed I am not as effective as I would like to be.

Anthony Mormile

District Director of Guidance

I need to work on mental bandwidth.

Robyn Griffin

Elementary Supervisor

I need to work on building my mental bandwidth. Days when I am mentally prepared I do great. When I feel off mentally or emotionally I struggle to get i to classrooms. I also need to put in place systems to get me out of my office. I know I shouldn't but I allow myself to get stuck there.

Lisa Henline

Principal

I need to work on mental bandwidth and scheduling to balance every day job responsibilities and making sure to get in to see teachers as well.

Christine Larson

Assistant Principal

I need to work on organizing paperwork. I have had empty folders on my desk where I’m trying to organize papers by topic but haven’t had a chance to look through the piles of paper. I also have to work on my classroom visit rotations.
