If I am consistent with my walkthrough observations, teachers will feel more comfortable talking about their teaching practices with me and students will know I am invested in their educational experience.

If we follow our instructional framework, student learning will improve. I know this is very broad. Over the last 2 years, we have lost a lot of the framework in the online learning, major attendance issues with students and teachers, and all the new staff that we have. We need to get back to bell to bell teaching with evidence based instructional practices. We need to get back to basics and use our data to show growth.
Deanna Albert
Assistant Principal
If we develops a site Intervention Plan (30-60-90) day plan then will it help increase student achievement?
Eloisa Acevedo
Principal
If we develop a behaviour plan will our staff use it. Getting into the classrooms gave me the opportunity to see that teachers used their professional judgement to varying degrees when it came to behaviours. We had some that would send a student to the office if they were not finishing their work and other teachers would never send a student unless blood was flowing. We did develop the behaviour flow chart with a team of teachers and also a new reporting form. Our goal this year is to reinforce the use of the flow chart and to follow the steps.
Lee Barrios

My if/then hypothesis is I'll be able to develop relationships with the students and the teachers better, and I will see students in different context than in the common areas, and I'll get to know how they're doing academically rather than just socially emotionally.
Dana Goodier

One of the hypotheses I've been working on is "If we adopt a growth mindset in our interactions with students, then they will feel more confident in their abilities." My theory is that if students feel more confident in math, their achievement in math will increase.
Jill Talewsky

Some of the things that teachers would need for me to do their job more effectively could be resources. And I often find that they would also appreciate the opportunity to lead others.

Making sure that I go see as many teachers as I can weekly sticking with that schedule, making sure I'm consistent and see what's really happening in the classroom.
Dr. Hipolita Hernandez-Sicignano

If I become a familiar face in the classrooms, then teachers will not "perform" when I am in there but teach naturally. If I make myself a part of classroom culture, then teachers will be more willing to accept my ideas, my presence, and my feedback.
Beth Fischer
Assistant Superintendent
If we change the way that we observe and give feedback will it improve instruction.

If I get into classrooms more consistently, then I am in tune with what the teachers need and how I can best support them.
